The winter trip has just come to an end, So it's high time to look ahead to spring! Just dust off your bike, because the cycling season won't be long in coming… This year Ascension Day falls nice and early, so you can climb those mountains with extra fresh legs during WheELS!
This year's ELS cycling weekend will be from 9 t/m 12 May 2024. During this high point of the summer season, ELS and Softijs go together to South Limburg and the Ardennes for a weekend of cycling, walking and, above all, fun. This year we will stay in the monumental square farm again ‘t Leienhoes in the beautiful hilly landscape near Wijlre. there are 80 bunk beds available for fanatical and less fanatical cycling ELS'ers and Softies. Even if you don't have a racing bike, or simply don't feel like cycling up those tiring hills, is something for you this weekend! There is always the opportunity for beautiful walks, games, running, swimming or a terrace tour. This year there will also be a time trial again on Saturday where all fast and less fast cyclists can set a good time on the Camerig! The whole weekend together will cost around 100 lying in euros.
Registration for this weekend will open on 26 February at 13:00. Then the registration list will appear at the bottom of this message. As soon as you are on the participant list, Do you have a spot and you can then fill in the questionnaire to which you will be automatically forwarded. In this we ask all information from you that we need for participation and with that your registration is final. If you have registered, but you can't come, can you up to 1 April unsubscribe free of charge.
There are 80 spots available of which the first 40 ELSers and the first 40 Softies the on 1 april 23:59 hours on the participant list are guaranteed to get a spot. If these places aren't all forgiven yet, because an association less than 40 participants has, the remaining places are filled by the reserves of the other association.
If you're not planning to be there all weekend, or not to use it everywhere, then you can pass this on to 1 april to effelekker Actief@gmail.com. The ELA determines prior to WheELS whether a discount on the participant price will be calculated, yes or no and what percentage on which post.
Cycling classic (lustrum edition)
Block 29 March already in your agenda, because this Good Friday will be a very good Friday, because this is the time for your legs, get to know your bike and your fellow WheelSgoers! The Cycling Classic will take place again on this day, where the fanatics 225 km through the beautiful country and for the less fanatics there will also be a route of approx 100 km are mapped out. This year it will not only be ELS'ers, but Softies also venture to these long distances! The red colossus will meet the green peloton halfway along the route to have lunch together and catch up. The perfect bonding for WheELS! More information and registration will follow soon on the site.
